Frank Edward Demaree is Sweetie's brother, and the third eldest sibling of all the Demaree children. When the Podcast begins in 1941, it is not long before Frank joins the United States military to serve his country.
​
In early spring 1943, Frank marries Meta Emma Schalinske, who lives in Chicago, Illinois. He is deployed overseas in the Pacific Theater in early 1944.
Meta Emma Schalinske is Sweetie's sister-in-law. She was born on December 9, 1919 in Newell, Buena Vista County, Iowa. As of 1944, Meta is residing in Chicago, Illinois.
