Elizabeth Lewis Graham, a.k.a. "Dit" or "Betty" is Lew's sister, and the second oldest  of the Graham siblings.  Per the recollections of her family, her nickname of "Dit" comes from Lew.  When Lew was very young, he struggled to pronounce her name (Elizabeth), so he instead called her "Dit" as it was much easier to say, and it stuck.

Elizabeth is a very proper woman as raised by Sidney, but she can frequently seem arrogant and self-centered.  Elizabeth and Sweetie do not seem to have too much in common when they first meet.

Elizabeth travels to California in the fall of 1947 and falls in love with a widower named Bob Brown.  He proposes to her during the holidays in 1947 and gives her an engagement ring for Christmas that year.  The two are married in a church wedding near Philadelphia on June 19, 1948.  Sweetie, Lew, and Lewis are all in attendance at the wedding.  The wedding party can be seen in the photo below.  Her brothers, Joseph and Lew are standing to her left.
