This is the postcard (postmarked September 7, 1949), that Sidney Graham sent to Sweetie's sister, Jeanne, while she was at the New Jersey shore that year.
This is one of the few remaining examples of Sidney's handwriting, as not many documents from Sidney survive.

This is a photograph of an image from an old postcard (approx. 1930's) of the United States Post Office in Hutchinson, Kansas.
Sweetie would have frequented the post office in Hutchinson, Kansas to send her many letters to family in both Iowa and Pennsylvania, as well as to her brothers who were fighting at the front during World War II.
Sweetie lived in Hutchinson, Kansas from July 1944 to March 1945.

This is a photograph of the image from an old postcard (from approx. 1908) of Main Street in Hutchinson, Kansas, looking north from Avenue A.
Note the trolley car on the tracks in the center of the street and the wagon being pulled nearby, as well as the carriage parked in front of a hotel.
While Sweetie lived in Hutchinson a few decades later, the street itself probably changed very little. The biggest change would be that the street was probably much more crowded with automobiles!
